This series addresses the richness of Chile as a natural laboratory, where many scientists are looking for the keys to improve the quality of life of Chileans and humanity. In our country, quality science is being done with concrete effects on daily life. This science is practiced by Chileans and foreigners committed to the future of their country and the planet. Throughout the chapters we will discover a diverse and attractive gallery of anonymous heroes who, inserted in the most beautiful and surprising places of our country, carry out research on earthquakes, volcanoes, forests and lichens, life in extreme environments, discoveries about native plants, oceanography, problems of the cities, first inhabitants of Chile, astronomy, glacier and Antarctic threats, renewable energies, among others. Each chapter presents two missions of different thematic areas, in which science hunters seek to invent, discover and create, overcoming obstacles and challenges.
